We are committed to making RecottonPlusTM a brand that stands for closed loop solutions. By using recycled fibers to create new products we aim to save energy and reduce land used to grow virgin cotton.
The textile industry continues its journey to learn what it means to run a responsible business, and there is increased awareness of the environmental damage that it has caused. We need to act now. As of 2019, over 80 billion pieces of clothing have been sold of which the vast majority eventually ended up in landfill, only to be replaced by new purchases. And that is just apparel! Just think of all the other fabric-based products used at home and by industry. It is our responsibility to join with other stakeholders to be part of the solution, not the problem.
RecottonPlusTM was created to participate in the transition to a circular economy. We are committed to the vision of a world in which the textile industry is a role model for sustainable and ethical work practices, right from design all the way through to use.
RecottonPlusTM is mechanically recycled with no further dyes or other chemical additives. We use no additional colorants, chemicals, and only limited water to create products that are recyclable.

Yarns of various blends can be used in different textile products.
RecottonPlusTM is blended with other recycled fibers or virgin fibers. Recycled fibers are repurposed pre- and post-consumer waste. Pre-consumer waste includes material from the cutting rooms or fabric inventory that is no longer usable. Post-consumer waste is used clothing that would have previously gone into landfill. Both are redirected to a new life - separated by fiber content with any hardware removedand returned to fiber, for blending with other fibers. No additional chemicals or dyes are used, resulting in natural colors.
We, the founders of RecottonPlusTM, have more than 30 years experience in the textile industry. We have watched the evolution of the industry into one that is very aware of its responsibilities to the environment and society.
From work place safety and fair treatment of factory workers, we delve deeply into the environmental impact of the industry itself. This is not a project, but a movement. It will take years to bring the entire supply chain on board, but our ambition is limitless. We must look forward, understand the reasons and be willing to pay for products that have a less negative impact on the earth.
We want to partner with apparel and other product brands that are visionary in their outlook on how they will approach the future. Why? Because it starts with design, creating products that can legitimately be part of the closed loop ecosystem. It starts with the right mindset. Now is the time.
